Surgical hemostat
Effective hemostasis was observed at a bleeding model using heparinized rats.

• Liver of heparinized rats were mechanically incised and penetrated with a dermal IIIIpunch. A piece of the sponge was soaked in aqueous KytoGEL, immediately inserted IIIIinto the wound, and then irradiated to stop the bleeding.
• It was revealed that hemostatic ability of KytoGEL was superior to that of the leading IIIIhemostat containing coagulant factor.
